What a month! A good number of Moorfoots participated in one of the several Skyline races in Fort William, with an impressive achievement of David Carter-Brown coming 6th overall in the Steal Marathon – well done David. I highly recommend this event, as it includes a variety of races that are suitable for those who’ve just started running through to those who want to go the extremes. Maybe a social Moorfoot weekend for next year… 😉

We also had a local race last weekend that required bravery to enter: the 2 Breweries. Well done to Colin, Simon, Shuggie and Jen for taking on this challenge! It was great to see you all passing the “Moorfoot” Whitelaw checkpoint, and we hope that you had (type 2) fun!

Jack, Michael, Coreen and Scott participated this weekend in the Dalkeith Wild Deer 10K event this weekend, with Jack coming first – wow, fantastic effort!
Our next club championship event is the 5K TT and ideal moment to check in how quick you are at the moment – sign up on Spond.
Another beautiful upcoming race is the 10K at Lilliesleaf. Not only because the race is beautiful and the choice of soups after the race are countless, but also the entry fee goes to the Harris Trust that raise awareness and provide training around neurodiversity and mental health.
Enjoy your Autumn running!
If you want to claim any points, or when I need to make any corrections, just drop me (Dorien) an email or message. And a message from Colin - send your pictures too. The blog looks way better with some photos added in!
