Club Championship Update - April 2026

2026 Championship points started off well, with 30 juniors and seniors completing the 5k time trial on the bike path between Eshiels and Cardrona on 31st March. Well done to the top 3 places, David, Rory and Jack, only 21 seconds between 1st and 3rd place!
As always, our members have been out and about supporting Parkruns (and local cafes) on many Saturday mornings.
A huge congratulations to Sarah for completing the epic SheUltra 50km ultra marathon in Wales, raising over £1,000 Macmillan Cancer Support.
The annual April double bill of Holyrood Parkrun and Hunter's Bog Trot saw a few members running in Edinburgh, but only a hardy few completng the double! Congrats to Myra for a well earned 3rd place!
Spring means marathon season (and the end of a tough winter of training). Kenny put in a great performance at the Manchester Marathon with a perfectly paced 3:08.
Sam was awarded our club place at the London Marathon and did us proud, not only completing the course in a great time but showing off our club colours on national television - top marks!
On the same day, hundreds of miles further north, Alex was running the virtual London Marathon on what can only be described as 'significantly more challenging terrain'! Congrats, and a further well done raising money for Tweed Valley Mountani Rescue!
Wrapping up this month was a nice club trip to Scurry Around The Helix at Falkirk. Apparently a 10k was run in between cafe stops! Well done to all.
